Oh Christmas Tree!

We put up the tree last night after Treston was asleep. He saw it this morning and just stood back, stared and said "Da, Da" which is his response to a lot of things. He has been pretty good about leaving it alone today, but we will see what happens the rest of the week! Our tree looks pretty bare with presents, but Drew is already using the shoes I got him for basketball and he has not wrapped my presents yet! Let's just hope that Treston likes his presents as much as the wrapping paper and the boxes! I am not counting on it.

Hoopin' It Up!

Well, I've (Drew) been coaching basketball for the past few weeks. We had our second game tonight. We have two games with an A team and a B team. The A team is for competitiveness and the B team is for participation and learning.

The A team won 64 to 14. The girls played well. The B team was another story. It did not go very well. The B team lost 40 to 6. There were way too many mistakes to count. We will be doing a lot of work before the next game.

Our first game had gone really well. The A team won 55 to 4. Our opponents really had no clue of what they were doing. Our offense was steal the ball and make a lay up. Our defense was let them throw a pass and grab it. The B team had trouble, but won 26 to 14 and two of the other team's points were score by us. Neither team knew what they were doing that game, but our side just had a bit more talent.

Overall, I think we have a good season coming our way, but I need to remember the B team is for learning and not set up for wins.

There was a very good turnout for fans for the first home game. Treston enjoyed his first basketball game and joined in making noise during cheers for the team.
